Volleyball Game Preview: Workman Lobos vs. Pomona Red Devils

For the first time this season, Workman will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will face off against the Pomona Red Devils at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Workman is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

Workman came up short against Southlands Christian on Friday, falling 3-0.

While Workman was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Southlands Christian's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-15, 26-24.

Pomona not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 27, 2025 (when they won 3-0). Everything went their way against Calvary Baptist as they made off with a 3-0 win.

Workman's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Pomona, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Workman couldn't quite get it done against Pomona in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 as they fell 3-1. Can the Lobos avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
