Clewiston came into Thursday's match having lost nine straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They were the clear victors by a 34-7 margin over the Glades Central Raiders on Thursday. The Tigers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Salia Brathwaite was a standout: she got on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, four stolen bases, and five runs. Those five runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kamila Vallejo, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four stolen bases, and five RBI.

Clewiston was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .667. They are 2-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Clewiston picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-14. As for Glades Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

As for Glades Central, they will be playing at home against Pahokee at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Raiders are facing the Blue Devils at the right time seeing as the Blue Devils are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
