Soccer Recap: Mayfield Comes Up Short

Mayfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Marshall County Marshals. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, Mayfield couldn't push the score so high this time.

Mayfield's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Marshall County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-8-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mayfield will head out to take on Graves County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marshall County, they will venture away from home to challenge Paducah Tilghman at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
