Jackson had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt New Hartford on Friday. The Ironman/Ironladies were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Spartans. The result was nothing new for the Ironman/Ironladies, who have now won 12 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Serenity Taylor spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 14 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Lillie Eberts was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Lexi Perry, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Jackson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as New Hartford only managed two hits.

The victory was the eighth in a row for Jackson, bringing their record up to 16-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for New Hartford, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-3.

Jackson has already played their next matchup, an 11-1 loss against Aynor on the 25th. As for New Hartford, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 21-0 victory against Holland Patent on the 28th.
