Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Santa Fe Christian). Everything went their way against the Francis Parker Lancers on Wednesday as they made off with a 16-3 win. The Eagles have beaten the Lancers the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Lancers has come to flipping the script.

Evan Filipovic tossed a big game, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits.

On the hitting side, Kam Lohse and Kyle Plasman did most of the damage at the plate: Lohse went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Plasman went 2-for-5 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave Lohse a new career-high. Noah Joseph was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Santa Fe Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .596. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory got Santa Fe Christian back to even at 10-10. As for Francis Parker, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Santa Fe Christian beat the Lancers by a score of 11-7 on Friday.
