Softball Recap: Perry Commodores vs. Continental Pirates
Perry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell just short of the Continental Pirates by a score of 5-4. Perry was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Continental apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.
Jamelia Ede and Makenna Dray stepped up to the plate in a big way. Ede scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Dray went 3-for-3 with two RBI.
Perry's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Continental, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-4.
Perry will head out on the road to challenge Allen East at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Allen East is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Continental, they will be playing at home against Crestview at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
