Basketball Recap: Rappahannock County Comes Up Short

Rappahannock County was the 60-49 winner over Clarke County when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Rappahannock County fell 50-43 to the Clarke County Eagles on Friday. Rappahannock County just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.

Tanner Sipe continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Clarke County, going 6 for 12 en route to 16 points and eight boards. Another player making a difference was Isaac Nei, who posted seven points and five rebounds.

Rappahannock County's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Clarke County, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-12 record.

Rappahannock County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-58 victory against Strasburg on the 4th. Clarke County has also already played their next matchup, a 62-32 win against Stonewall Jackson on the 3rd.
