Football Game Preview: New Dorp Central Cougars vs. Brooklyn Technical Engineers

After each having a week off, the New Dorp Central Cougars and the Brooklyn Technical Engineers will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another on Saturday. New Dorp has given up an average of 34.2 points per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

New Dorp's offense might be in the hot seat on Saturday considering what happened against Curtis two weeks ago. They took a blow against the Warriors, falling 49-0. The loss continues a trend for the Central Cougars in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost nine in a row.

Meanwhile, Brooklyn Technical came up short against South Shore two weeks ago and fell 36-29. While losing is never fun, the Engineers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 300th, while the Vikings are ranked 120th).

New Dorp now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Brooklyn Technical, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

New Dorp was able to grind out a solid win over Brooklyn Technical when the teams last played back in October of 2019, winning 36-24. Do the Central Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Engineers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
