Volleyball Recap: Waukesha West's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Waukesha West had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Mukwonago Indians. For the Wolverines, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 victory the Indians walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

While Waukesha West might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Mukwonago scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 22-25, 29-27, 25-23.

Mia Jannazzo paced Waukesha West's offense, picking up 20 kills. Jannazzo got some help from Ruby Friess and her 29 assists. Jannazzo was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Hannah Vermuelen and Amanda Esmeier certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Vermuelen had 23 digs and three assists, while Esmeier had 25 assists and 11 digs. Madison Wisniewski was another key player, getting three digs and two blocks.

Waukesha West's win bumped their record up to 25-10. As for Mukwonago, they dropped their record down to 16-19 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Waukesha West has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Appleton East on the 18th. As for Mukwonago, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Whitnall on the 18th.
