Basketball Recap: Orange Panthers vs. Western Pioneers
Orange was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss. They took a 58-43 bruising from the Western Pioneers. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pioneers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2021.
Orange's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sebastian Nunez, who posted 12 points. Alexander Villa was another key player, putting up nine points.
Orange's defeat dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Western, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-13.
Orange wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 70-51 win against Loara on the 14th. As for Western, they will head out to square off against Anaheim at 6:00 p.m. on January 17th.
