Soccer Game Preview: Timberland vs. Georgetown

The Timberland Wolves will head out to challenge the Georgetown Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Georgetown took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Timberland, who comes in off a win.

On Monday, Timberland made easy work of Manning and carried off a 6-1 victory. The win continues a trend for Timberland in their matchups with Manning: they've now won six in a row.

Meanwhile, Georgetown fell victim to Carolina Forest and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 10-0 to the Panthers. While losing is never fun, Georgetown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 171st, while Carolina Forest are ranked 44th).

Timberland's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Georgetown, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-9.

Timberland skirted past Georgetown 3-2 when the teams last played back in April of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wolves since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
