Volleyball Recap: Thornridge's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

The Thornridge Falcons came up short against the East Chicago Central Cardinals on Wednesday and fell 2-0. The loss put an end to the Falcons' undefeated start to the season.

While Thornridge ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-20.

Thornridge's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for East Chicago Central, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-7.

After both having extra time off, Thornridge and Horizon Science Academy-Southwest will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for East Chicago Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hammond Central at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The match will give the Cardinals their first taste of in-conference action this season.
