Baseball Recap: Wiggins Falls Short of North Fork in the Playoffs

Wiggins and North Fork squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Wiggins had to settle for second. They came up short against the Miners, falling 7-1. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wiggins saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carston Johnson, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Wiggins' defeat dropped their record down to 11-13. As for North Fork, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season.

Wiggins does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Fork, they will challenge Peyton at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Miners' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 11.2 runs per game this season.
