Izzie Stockham was the offensive standout of the game as she scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Audrey Schilder, who scored six points along with six rebounds.
Gooding's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Ontario, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.
Gooding won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Nampa Christian at 12:00 p.m. on December 30, 2023. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Idaho (Nampa Christian is ranked 122nd, while Gooding is ranked 97th). As for Ontario, they will be playing at home against Payette at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Payette is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
