The Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the McKenzie Rebels at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central's pitching crew has only allowed 1.9 runs per game this season, so McKenzie's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
While Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central's win against McEwen wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers won by a run and slipped past the Warriors 4-3. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
Madison Holder spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Lilly McGee was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.
Meanwhile, McKenzie earned a 5-2 win over South Fulton on Tuesday.
McKenzie also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Braylin Auvenshine gave up two runs (both of which were unearned) on four hits.
On the hitting side, McKenzie saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carli Beeler, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Kailie Hudgins also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.1 runs over those games. As for McKenzie, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central took their win against McKenzie in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-1 score. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Rebels have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
