Recap: McKinney North Bulldogs vs. Panther Creek Panthers
After a string of four wins, the McKinney North Bulldogs's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a serious blow against Panther Creek, falling 73-45. McKinney North was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Panther Creek apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Panther Creek's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sabien McGraw led the charge by scoring 19 points. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for him. Mario Wooden was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
McKinney North's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Panther Creek, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McKinney North is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Lovejoy at 7:00 p.m. on January 9th. As for Panther Creek, they will face off against Ranchview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
