Soccer Recap: Montwood Takes a Loss

Despite a strong season so far, Montwood has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pebble Hills Spartans. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 41st, while the Spartans are ranked ninth).

Montwood's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Pebble Hills, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season.

Montwood will host Coronado at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pebble Hills, they are taking a road trip to take on Eastwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
