Basketball Recap: Normal West Takes a Loss

Normal West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 62-30 loss at the hands of the Danville Vikings. The Wildcats were down 45-20 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Despite the loss, Normal West saw an underclassman step up: freshman Chase Sennett posted eight points and six boards.

Normal West's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Danville, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-6.

Normal West didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 61-27 loss against Metea Valley on the 26th. As for Danville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 66-53 defeat against Alton on the 21st.
