Baseball Recap: Scituate Takes a Loss

Scituate was the 6-3 winner over Quincy when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Sailors fell just short of the Presidents by a score of 8-7 on Monday. The Sailors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Scituate's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Quincy, with the win, they broke their 12-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-14.

Coming up, Scituate will head out on the road to take on Plymouth South at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Sailors' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Quincy, they will host Hanover at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hawks will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Presidents surely won't give up without a fight.
