Volleyball Recap: Fort Atkinson Takes a Loss

If Fort Atkinson was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Jefferson on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Blackhawks fell 2-0 to the Marshall Cardinals on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blackhawks of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Fort Atkinson may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored 20 points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-20.

Fort Atkinson's loss dropped their record down to 8-18. As for Marshall, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-9.

Looking ahead, Fort Atkinson is taking a road trip to take on Turner at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marshall, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Kewaskum at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
