Baseball Recap: Hopkins Extends Winning Streak to Three

Hopkins waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Eden Prairie Eagles. The Royals not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 9th (when they won 12-2).

Hopkins pushed their record up to 10-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Eden Prairie, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Hopkins will challenge rival Minnetonka at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Royals 3.9, the Skippers 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Eden Prairie is set to square off against their familiar foe Edina at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
