Flag Football Game Preview: Carson Colts vs. Narbonne Gauchos

Carson hasn't had much luck against Narbonne recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Colts will square off against the Gauchos at 2:30 p.m. Carson's defense has only allowed 12.8 points per game this season, so Narbonne's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Carson will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up 12 points on Thursday, then bounced right back against Marshall on Thursday. The Colts came out on top against the Barristers by a score of 31-21. The win was all the more spectacular given the Colts' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 309th, while the Barristers are ranked 92nd).

Meanwhile, Narbonne came up short against San Pedro on Monday and fell 13-6. The defeat continues a trend for the Gauchos in their meetings with the Pirates: they've now lost seven in a row.

Narbonne didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Faith Ugoje and Luna Orozco.

Carson's victory bumped their record up to 7-9-2. As for Narbonne, their loss dropped their record down to 16-7.

Carson couldn't quite get it done against Narbonne when the teams last played last Monday as they fell 14-6. Can the Colts avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
