Soccer Recap: Wausau East vs. Portage
Wausau East had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Portage Warriors.
Wausau East was led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Eliana Schmidt and
Carly Guenther, who scored both of Wausau East's goals.
Wausau East will be playing at home against New Richmond at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Portage will take on Baraboo at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
