Baseball Recap: Rowlett Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rowlett). They never let the South Garland Titans get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Eagles needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Jordan Casillas made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Casillas was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Grady Holmes was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Jeff Claycomb was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Rowlett kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March of 2025.

Rowlett's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for South Garland, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Looking ahead, Rowlett will challenge Naaman Forest at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Garland, they are taking a road trip to face off against West Mesquite at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
