Volleyball Recap: Glencoe Takes a Loss

Glencoe lost against Southside on Saturday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Yellowjackets fell 2-0 to the Panthers.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-16.

Mia Talbot paced Glencoe's offense, picking up six kills. Talbot got some help from Kinlee Montgomery and her seven assists.

Glencoe has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 23-12 record this season. As for Southside, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-12 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glencoe will host Ohatchee at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Southside, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Etowah at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
