Softball Recap: Riverside Comes Up Short

Riverside lost to Laurel two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Panthers took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans.

Riverside now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Laurel, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverside will challenge Ellwood City at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Laurel, they will take on Neshannock at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Lancers' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Spartans' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
