Football Game Preview: Byers Lions vs. Smithville Seminoles + How To Watch

Byers is 0-4 against Smithville since September of 2017 but things could change on Thursday. The Lions will be playing at home against the Seminoles at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Byers is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 56 points last Friday, they were much more limited against Rosa Fort on Friday. They were outmatched by Rosa Fort and fell 48-8.

Meanwhile, Smithville scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 33-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of Falkner. While the Seminoles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 7-0 in the first quarter.

Smithville's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Byers, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Byers came up short against Smithville in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, falling 28-22. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
