Baseball Recap: L'anse Creuse North Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

L'Anse Creuse North had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came out on top against the Marysville Vikings by a score of 10-5. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Crusaders also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2023.

L'Anse Creuse North's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Koston Blaskowski, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one double. That's the most hits Blaskowski has posted over his last 13 contests. Wesley Zeiman was another, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

L'Anse Creuse North always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.

L'Anse Creuse North's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-12. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Marysville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

L'Anse Creuse North will head out to square off against Grosse Pointe South at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Blue Devils' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Crusaders' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Marysville, they will welcome L'Anse Creuse at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
