            Baseball Recap: Hopewell Valley Central Bulldogs vs. Princeton Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            There's no place like home for Hopewell Valley Central, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Monday. They were the clear victors by  a  9-2 margin over the Princeton Tigers on Tuesday. Considering the Bulldogs have won three contests by more than five  runs this season, Tuesday's  blowout was nothing new.

 Blake Echternacht
 Blake Echternacht made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit while striking out six over six innings pitched. He also  tossed  no  earned runs, which is notable because Hopewell Valley Central is 2-0-1 when he allows at  most  three  earned runs, but 1-6 otherwise. Echternacht was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-4 with one  triple, one  run,  and one  RBI. That  triple marked the first that  he has  hit this season.
 In other batting news,  Owen Lengle was  incredible,  going 2-for-4 with three  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  RBI.  Lucas Hemmer was another key player,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  stolen base and one  run.
Hopewell Valley Central's victory bumped their record up to 3-6-1. As for Princeton, they moved to 6-4 with that  loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
 Coming up, Hopewell Valley Central will head out to  square off against Nottingham  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Princeton, they will look to defend their home field  on Thursday against Hightstown  at 4:00  p.m.
