Softball Recap: Doane Academy Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

If Doane Academy was feeling good fresh off their 21-2 takedown of Willingboro on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Doane Academy fell just short of the Medford Tech Jaguars by a score of 3-2 on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Medford Tech this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-5 last Monday.

Doane Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brielle Perry, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Doane Academy's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-5. As for Medford Tech, they moved to 13-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Doane Academy will square off against Montclair Kimberley Academy on Tuesday. As for Medford Tech, they will take on STEMCivics at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
