Baseball Recap: Wahluke Comes Up Short

After flying high against Wapato on Saturday, Wahluke came back down to earth. The Warriors took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cashmere Bulldogs on Tuesday. The Warriors were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in April of 2021.

Wahluke dropped their record down to 4-15 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those road defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Cashmere, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Bulldogs beat Wahluke by a score of 24-2 later that day.
