The Orem Tigers will take on the Brighton Bengals at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Orem is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Salem Hills, sneaking past 11-9. The win was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won four games in a row.

Tayden Kaawa was a standout: he went 4-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Kaawa is crushing it when it comes to RBI: he's brought in at least three every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Merrick Bostock, who went 4-for-5 with one triple, one run, and one double.
Orem was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .486. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Brighton faced Olympus in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Bengals put the hurt on the Titans with a sharp 10-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bengals, who have now won 17 matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.
Josh Mawhinney tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Brighton got a massive performance out of Easton Fry, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that Fry has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of River Schmidt, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
The win was the sixth in a row for Brighton, bringing their record up to 25-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Orem, their record now sits at 19-9.
Orem couldn't quite get it done against Brighton when the teams last played back in May of 2024 as they fell 7-2. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
