Basketball Recap: West Las Vegas Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

West Las Vegas had won six straight home games dating back to last season and Alexis Pacheco did her part to make it seven on Tuesday. The West Las Vegas Dons blew past the Moriarty Pintos, posting a 68-27 victory thanks in part to Pacheco, who dropped a double-double on 34 points and 11 boards. Her evening made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Jayla Cordova was another key player, putting up 11 points and five rebounds. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played.

West Las Vegas has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 39 points. As for Moriarty, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Las Vegas will head out to challenge Hot Springs at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. West Las Vegas is facing Hot Springs at the right time seeing as Hot Springs is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Moriarty has already played their next game (against Goddard), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
