Foard can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Thursday. They never let the St. Stephens Indians onto the board and left with an 8-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Foard also won the last time the pair played back in April.
Karsyn Sigmon was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and only two hits while striking out 14 over seven innings pitched. Sigmon has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive pitching appearances. Sigmon was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Riley Vogel was incredible, going 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs, and a triple. Aubri Luckett was another key contributor, scoring a run and stealing four bases while going 2-for-3.
On St. Stephens' side, Anicka McFarland spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and five unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up eight Ks.
Foard's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-4. As for St. Stephens, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-12.
