Basketball Recap: Arlington Colts vs. Lamar Vikings

After losing to Lamar the last time they met, Arlington decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Arlington Colts sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 63-61 victory over the Lamar Vikings on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Colts as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Lamar lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Ke'Dren Washington, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards. The dominant performance gave Washington a new career-high in rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Dearmondrae Batie, who posted 12 points in addition to seven boards and five assists.
