Soccer Recap: Danville Triumphs

Danville lost to Crawfordsville back in September of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Warriors beat the Athenians by a goal, winning 2-1. Danville wouldn't have won without Madisyn Valenti, who scored the game-winner.

Danville is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-5-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those four matches. As for Crawfordsville, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3-1.

Danville wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 5-2 defeat against Monrovia on the 15th. As for Crawfordsville, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-1 victory against North Montgomery on the 16th.
