Softball Recap: Eastern Montgomery Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Eastern Montgomery and George Wythe squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Eastern Montgomery had to settle for second. They lost 13-2 to the Maroons. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Mustangs couldn't push the score so high this time.

Eastern Montgomery saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Macie Akers, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Akers has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

Eastern Montgomery's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-7. As for George Wythe, their record is now 8-13.

Eastern Montgomery does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for George Wythe, they will square off against Grayson County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
