Union is 2-8 against Camas since April of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Titans will venture away from home to square off against the Papermakers at 4:30 p.m.
Friday just wasn't the day for Union's offense. They lost 9-0 to Camas on Friday. Surprisingly, this marked the eighth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.
For Camas' part, not much got past Allyson Montler, who gave up just two hits to keep Union off the board. Montler has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Camas let Keegan Kirkwood and Kendyl Wiest run wild. Kirkwood went 2-for-4 with four RBI and two runs, while Wiest went 2-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Wittler, who went 2-for-5 with three runs and one stolen base.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Camas kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 9-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
