Sidney hasn't had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 59-53 W against the McCook Bison. The win was all the more spectacular given the Red Raiders' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 190th, while the Bison are ranked 35th).

Several Bison players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brody Graham, who posted 18 points. Another player making a difference was Trey Tiller, who earned 11 points in addition to five boards and three steals.

The victory was their first on the road, bumping their record up to 4-9. As for McCook, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-3.

Looking ahead, Sidney will head out to face off against Ogallala at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Red Raiders will need to watch out since the Indians have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for McCook, they will be playing at home against Hastings at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
