Basketball Recap: Rainier Beach Takes a Loss

After flying high against Nathan Hale last Saturday, Rainier Beach came back down to earth. The Rainier Beach Vikings had to suffer through a 79-28 loss at the hands of the Bishop Blanchet Bears. The Vikings have struggled against the Bears recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Brooke Campbell was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten boards for Bishop Blanchet. Campbell continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Neko Joseph, who went 5 for 9 on her way to 15 points.

Rainier Beach's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Bishop Blanchet, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-1.

Rainier Beach didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 52-36 loss against Seattle Academy on the 24th. Bishop Blanchet has also already played their next match, a 62-25 victory against Cleveland on the 24th.
