Saint Ignatius College Prep hit Hinsdale South with a five-run seventh inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Hornets fell just short of the Wolfpack by a score of 10-9. The Hornets' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Lauren Bishop made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Kayla Buckels-Meen was another key player, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Hinsdale South's loss dropped their record down to 8-23-1. As for Saint Ignatius College Prep, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-17.
