Volleyball Recap: Carmel Christian Comes Up Short

After flying high against Queen's Grant on Tuesday, Carmel Christian came back down to earth. The Cougars lost 3-0 to the Rabun Gap-Nacoochee Eagles on Friday. The Cougars have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-17, 25-15.

Piper Bickford paced Carmel Christian's offense, picking up nine kills. Bickford got some help from Rose Anderson and her 13 assists.

Carmel Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Rabun Gap-Nacoochee, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Carmel Christian has already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Charlotte Christian on the 23rd. As for Rabun Gap-Nacoochee, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Asheville School (Independent) on the 23rd.
