Softball Recap: Honey Grove's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Honey Grove can now relate to. They lost 7-0 to the Petrolia Pirates on Wednesday. The Warriors were red-hot at the plate heading into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the six matches prior), but the Pirates' pitchers proved too tough.

Honey Grove's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 23-5-3. As for Petrolia, their victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Honey Grove beat the Pirates by a score of 9-7 on Thursday.
