Baseball Recap: Bloomfield Takes a Loss

Bloomfield fell victim to Belleville and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Buccaneers by a score of 2-0. The Bengals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Buccaneers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Brady Cole was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

Bloomfield's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Belleville, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-4.

Bloomfield has already played their next contest, a 7-3 defeat against Lyndhurst on the 17th. As for Belleville, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Hoboken on the 17th.
