Volleyball Preview: Mt. Vernon Wildcats vs. Princeton Tigers

Mt. Vernon has been away from home for three games now, but on Thursday they'll finally make their return. They will host the Princeton Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Mt. Vernon lost 3-0 to North Posey last Tuesday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-8, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Princeton didn't have quite enough to beat Forest Park on Monday and fell 3-2. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Princeton took Forest Park into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking five-point loss. After all that action, the final score was 25-14, 25-17, 19-25, 22-25, 15-10.

Princeton might have lost, but man, Halle Cole was a machine: she had 20 digs.

Mt. Vernon's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Princeton, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.
