Baseball Recap: Utica Wins Going Away Against Lakeview

Utica won the last time they faced Lakeview and things went their way on Saturday too. The Chieftains blew past the Huskies 11-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Chieftains.

Alex Gorgievski and Michael Hoppe did most of the damage at the plate: Gorgievski went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Hoppe fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Simunic, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Utica kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.
