Ketchikan has gone a perfect 3-0 against Kenai Central recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Kings will take on the Kardinals at 9:30 a.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Ketchikan is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They put the hurt on Delta with a sharp 14-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Kings, who have now won 11 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Kenai Central faced Kodiak in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Kardinals had just enough and edged out the Bears 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Kardinals have posted since May 10th.

Avery Ellis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on four hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, Kailey Stynsberg was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Blakeley Jorgensen, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Ketchikan's win bumped their record up to 16-18-2. As for Kenai Central, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 16-15 record.

Ketchikan was able to grind out a solid win over Kenai Central when the teams last played on Friday, winning 14-9. Do the Kings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Kardinals turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
