Basketball Recap: Milton-Union Extends Home Winning Streak to Nine

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Milton-Union). They strolled past the Twin Valley South Panthers with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 66-47. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Milton-Union to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jenna Brumbaugh, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten boards. The contest was Brumbaugh's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Addi Case, who posted 14 points and three steals.

Milton-Union smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 17 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Milton-Union pushed their record up to 8-0 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Twin Valley South, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Milton-Union will venture away from home to take on Covington at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Milton-Union's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games. As for Twin Valley South, they will head out to challenge Tri-County North at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
