Volleyball Recap: Hamilton Falls Despite Big Games from Edward Lee and Ben Tynan

After flying high against Rincon/University on Wednesday, Hamilton came back down to earth. The Huskies came up short against the Casteel Colts on Thursday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Huskies in their meetings with the Colts: they've now lost four in a row.

Hamilton was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Casteel work for it, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-16, 27-25.

Hamilton's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ben Tynan, who had nine digs and three assists, and Edward Lee, who had 11 digs, seven kills, and two aces. Lee is on a roll when it comes to kills, as he's now had seven or more in each of the last five games he's played.

Casteel found their leader in sophomore Will Schneiderman, who had 23 digs and three assists.

Hamilton's loss dropped their record down to 16-20. As for Casteel, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-11-1 record this season.

Hamilton has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Desert Ridge on the 6th. Casteel does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
