Liberty Common is 9-1 against Sterling since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Eagles will look to defend their home pitch against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Liberty Common's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Frontier Academy on Tuesday. While getting shut out isn't ideal, Liberty Common haven't been shut out since back in March.

Meanwhile, Sterling waltzed into their contest on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Roughriders get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. Give Sterling's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Sterling's win bumped their record up to 6-4-2. As for Liberty Common, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-6-1.

Liberty Common took their victory against Sterling in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 7-1 score. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
